Gordon Cockburn

Gordon's thirty two year general insurance career as agent and investigator, commenced in 1954...a year prior to the birth of the first of four children. He held offices in trade, church, business organizations and service clubs including President of both Toronto Eglinton and Newmarket Rotary Clubs and twice Secretary to the District Rotary District Governor.
In May, 1991 he led in the formation of the Probus Club of Newmarket, (later to become President in 1997) and in January, 1995 the Women's Probus Club of Newmarket (his wife Donna as the Charter President). Subsequently he provided inspiration and guidance to the formation of the Probus Club of Aurora.
In thirty years as a member of a hunt club he has never had a shot at game, and is better known for his skills as a cook. Gordon and Donna are actively retired in Newmarket, sharing the enjoyment (also actively?) of 12 grandchildren.
